About Us

Just a mountain couple who love their kitties

John and Cherylann

Even though we have a wonderful and large combined family, we have found that our furry family members here in Cherwood Forest provide us with more complete, fun and fulfilling lives. This blog is meant to summarize our journeys. 

Cordele and LC ("Buddy")

We enjoyed these loving companions from 2002 until 2021. Rescued from Johns' grandparents' farm at 6 and 4 weeks old, we couldn't have anticipated the happiness, love and entertainment these two would provide over the next 19 years. Sadly, both passed away within days of each other in November 2021. The memories made with those two will brighten our lives forever.

Rory and Lily

These are our new additions to the family. When we lost Buddy and Cordele, we knew that although those two were irreplaceable, we wanted to have feline companions with us as we enter the Autumn of our own lives. Cherylann developed a comprehensive list of the qualities that would best suit our lifestyle and desires. Ragamuffins became the target and we welcomed them into their new home on February 21, 2022.
